The Afghan Girls' National Football Team defeated Kyrgyzstan's national team 1-0 in a friendly match held on Saturday in Kyrgyzstan.
Sajia Sahar was the game's only goal scorer, leading the Afghan side to victory. Afghanistan will next face Tajikistan on Monday in another friendly match.
The series of friendly matches is being played between Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
The matches were organised to prepare the teams for the 2013 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup (SAFF) in Nepal. Eighteen Afghan players have been selected for the tournament.
The competition is scheduled to begin on August 31 and continue until September 11.
The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship will be the tenth edition of the tournament. It will be held in Nepal, a decision the SAFF Executive Committee took at a meeting held at Sri Lanka in September 2012. It will be the second time Nepal is hosting the tournament, the last time being in 1997.
